Scandinavian Designers : Vilsbøl De Arce By Prisca Vilsbøl And Pia De Arce – Living In Their Own Creative Universe

The Vilsbøe De Arce stands for the two designers Prisca Vilsbøl and Pia De Arce. Two friends that met each other in design school and had the same common ambition and drive to be originals. These designs they make are AMAZING! Can’t even describe such beautiful work they make. They have made clothes for celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Peaches and Natalie Portman.They started working on their brand in 2002 after graduating from design school but founded Vilsbøl de Arce in 2007. Which makes sense, they had all these years to learn from their experiments to make these strong pieces today. I read a piece that caught me by the first sentence, that I don’t even know how to formulate. So I will just write it all down.

We have always been fascinated by the concept of armour – clothing that gives the wearer strength and protection, while also sending a strong message to impress the adversary. By putting it on, your whole body language changes. Your shoulders straighten, you feel taller; it gives you an upright, dignified posture. It is this feeling we would like to give our wearers.
